Prof. El Saddik receive very prestigious award

Dr. Abdulmotaleb El Saddik is the FIRST Canadian in computer Science (the 4th in total) to receive the very prestigious Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in Germany for achieving international prominence in his field. The award is given to young, high-flying scientists and scholars from outside of Germany in recognition of their outstanding accomplishments in their research to-date and their exceptional promise for the future. Best Paper Award at IEEE COPS

DISCOVER Lab Ph.D. student Dewan Tanvir Ahmed and professors Shervin Shirmohammadi and Abdulmotaleb El Saddik receive the Best Paper Award at the IEEE International Workshop on Collaborative Peer-to-Peer Information Systems (IEEE COPS) for their paper "A Dominating Set Based Peer-to-Peer Protocol for Real-Time Multi-Source Collaboration".
